As many people know, the annual Cannabis Cup takes place in Amsterdam, where growers from the world over come to enter their strains in the competition. 2007 marked the 20th anniversary of the Cup, and the folks at High Times decided to document it.

This DVD will teach you more about the ganja than you could learn from an aging hippie, a bloody-eyed Rasta and a bleach-blond California dude combined. The film follows the registered judges (a.k.a. stoners on a pilgrimage) as they journey from coffee shop to coffee shop to sample all the weed they possibly can. It's narrated by, and more centrally focused on, the High Times staff who run the Cup, and reveals all the inner-workings of the event. It's a lot more than just smoking pot. They take this shit seriously!

Notable moments include the HT crew smoking bud that makes them sneeze, Redman smoking a hash blunt and showing up hours late for his performance, and a couple of gloating, moronic impostors who don't even know their cover's been blown.  

The DVD is only an hour long and comes with a nice mini-mag, instead of some lame booklet. Now you can live vicariously through the people that take place in the Cup, because lord knows you're too stoned and lazy to go.
