Many of our readers have probably heard of freerunning, the avantgarde sport of running, leaping, swinging and climbing through the natural obstacles of the world. Walls, gates, ledges and trees turn from constraints into opportunities to display quick thinking and acrobatic skill. Freerunning is understandably more popular in heavily urban areas, and it was only a matter of time before this art came to the steel and concrete jungle of New York City in the early 00's.
In this video, the NYC freerunning group Acroback does what they do best, to the tunes of a great mix. If you ever see them soaring through our city's rectilinear canyons, stop and watch for a moment. It'll make you think that The Matrix was not just a film. -Posted by Igor Kossov.
