Led Zeppelin will play from the speakers at Bonnaroo, but it won’t be by anyone with the names Jimmy Page or Robert Plant. Media outlets such as Britain’s NME magazine and the Sun-Times reported this week that the band were confirmed to appear at the Bonnaroo Music and Arts Festival, taking place from June 12-15. Unfortunately they misread a letter. The name that does top the Tennessee festival’s lineup is Lez Zeppelin, an all-female Led Zeppelin tribute band. Those who are disappointed shouldn’t lose hope. Page told Rolling Stone that Plant, who is appearing at the festival with Alison Krauss, would be touring until September, but after that who knows. Plant also kept coy simply saying, “You never know what is around the corner.”
